Corinne returns to the team for 2024 as one of our original riders, having been with us since our creation in 2021. Now 23 years old, Corinne has become a very experienced racer on the domestic scene, having achieved some notable results as well as contributing to the team's overall success.

From a sports and outdoor mad family, Corinne has raced on skis as well as on the bike and credits her experience downhill skiing for her skills descending in the saddle. She also credits her family for their continuous support. Mum, Dad, and partner Ed are regularly seen helping the team prep for races and handing bottles and wheels out along the roadside. Corinne first raced a bike when she was just 9 and has progressed steadily since then, learning and honing her skills to become a formidable opponent within the domestic peloton and with a growing list of victories to match.

Since completing her degree in Sports Science, Corinne has dedicated much of her time to training and racing, and she's looking forward to seeing how the team performs this year, what she can achieve personally, and enjoying the season, being up there in the national series.

Beginning her road racing career with Team On-Form Racing before racing on the track and dabbling in E-Sports during Covid with Team Jadan, Corinne has combined her love for the outdoors with her racing and now much prefers the road to the track.

Corinnne Side

She has a natural feel for road racing, seeing her opponents around her and utilizing her impressive bike handling skills and experience to navigate to the sharp end of races. Like most of her teammates, Corinne much prefers training and racing on the road rather than indoors and is happy to be out training in the rain rather than on the turbo. When she's able to, though, she's more than happy to seek out some warmer, sunnier winter training destinations to get the road raining miles in.

As well as her family's support, Corinne also credits structured training with a coach for keeping her motivated and focused, the last couple of seasons having been the most challenging periods of her career due to illness and injury. Having only been able to compete in a handful of races in 2022, Corinne knows that cycling is a hard sport, and she needs to enjoy her riding. It's been difficult to enjoy it when injured, so she's happy to see where cycling takes her now, hopefully, her form's returned. Corinne also feels the pressure of having won the final round of the road race series last year at the Curlew Cup, her biggest achievement to date, as well as overall victory in the National Circuit Series, but she enjoys crits with their all-out, one-hour maximum efforts as well as testing herself in hilly, tough road races. She's especially looking forward again this year to the Lancaster Grand Prix in July, her home race, as well as gaining more experience in Europe, where she feels the racing is more direct and focused.

Off the bike, Corinne loves looking after her dog. She would work with animals if she wasn't racing her bike, walking, and exploring the outdoors. Her cycling icon is Marianne Vos, who she's followed as she's grown up, and Paris Roubaix is her favorite race to watch. She thinks it would be an amazing experience to race in.

Corinne's cycling pet hates are car drivers not giving cyclists enough space on the road, and cyclists attacking through the feed zone during races.
